Hello,

I am a Bsc final year student at the University of Teesside (UK) in
Computer Science, and I just realised a cryptography application (Unix,
Windows 95/NT) for my final year project.

Here are some specifications of my algorithm :
----
Private key
bilateral bits swapping with variable windows
pseudo random binary operation
addition of random and pseudo random numbers
The source code of the algorithm does not have to be secret

Key generator
2 crypts file algorithms : standard and probability
Hide engine (very, very simple algorithm)
----

I have done this algorithm by my own, since that I read the excellent
cryptography book of Bruce Schneir, and I realised that my algorithm has
some common points with DES.

One of the University professor looked my algorithm (quickly I must
admit)
and told me it seems to be strong.

I saw your email in the Bruce Schneir book, so I contact you if maybe
you
can test my algorithm, indeed I need feed back to finish my report.
I am running a contest to know if someone is able to break my algorithm.

The interesting point in my story is that I am french, and my
application
is forbidden in france.
I started it 3 years ago and I had to stop, so I am like a student who
had
to go to the UK to continue is application !
(well, honestly it was not the main reason.)

Anyway, if you want to have more information, here is my personnal home
page :

And the official project home page :

Thanks you,
Best regards,

Sylvain Martinez
