Read up on Fortezza cards and the Skipjack algorithm.

If you're moderatly paranoid, make sure you get a version of the card with
the LEAF removed (do they even make cards with the LEAF in there still?)

If you're really paranoid, you might look for Fortezza compliant cards
that have other symmetric algorithms available (I know they exist.. I've
seen them).
