What would it take, if anything? Full access to the VHDL and
test code, FPGA config or GDSII layouts,
plus randomly-sampled production chips stripped
and reverse-engineered by skeptical third parties?

Maybe Synopsis has hidden code in their tools
to recognize Feistel structures and hides embedded oscillators that leak
information...
