We've implemented some public key java stuff here at Williams, but
unfortunately the powers that be aren't willing to release any of the
source to PD.. I'd volunteer my sundays to work on PGPjava
implementation if someone out there is interested in helping out.....

Subject: A all-Java PGP?

Has anyone considered doing an all-Java port of PGP? If not, I'd be
interested in trying it out. I was looking around on the web and
havn't seen anything about one...

There are some issues, mostly with computational speed, but with
either good JITs or strategic use of native methods, I think it could
be done.
