dia issue

when i try to load the win32 version of dia, the terminal window pops up and
this message scrolls infinitely over and over "Cannot load module
../lib/pango/1.2.0/modules/pango-basic-win32.dll: One of the library files
needed to run this application cannot be found."

and then after a while dia loads, but is too slow to use.. and the message
continues to scroll in the terminal window.

any ideas?
