Mr. Finder *WAS* spewing garbage. It was entirely incorrect. I'm told
there is one guy in the group he was mentioning at AT&T who has a
clearance, not "virtually everyone". (Of course, why believe me, I've
only just bothered to find out from who actually work there.)

Mr. Finder is the same guy who claimed Matt Blaze had been arrested at
O'Hare Airport for exporting crypto, or doesn't anyone around here
have any sort of memory? Do reputations count for anything, or are we
all just blowing smoke on that score?

I don't know if Mr. Finder has any "management" to begin with. His
previous postings don't lead one to believe he has any accurate
information to give, and he posts from a Hotmail account. Even if he's
a real person and not some sort of spoof, he obviously doesn't bother
to check his facts very well before posting them. Whether he's a real
guy with an itchy keyboard finger or a fake guy who posts
disinformation, the result is the same.

Now that we've established that, could everyone do me and everyone
else QUIT POSTING THIS CRAP TO THE CRYPTOGRAPHY MAILING LIST? I'm not
forwarding it anyway, and I'm not interested in reading it.

And indeed, could people QUIT POSTING IT TO CodherPlunks? CodherPlunks is
for *technical cryptography*, not discussions (even if accurate) on
who's got security clearances.
